Plan to Attend

“Living Grist Mill Day”

Come take a step back in time and learn about life in pioneer times from volunteers in period dress. Take a turn doing the laundry, making a candle, or even a handkerchief doll. You may also get to see a blacksmith at work or shell some corn. There’s something for all ages.The activities may vary, but you’re sure to have a great time. Entrance is free, but there is a small fee to participate in some of the activities, such as making a doll.

Tooele County Master Gardeners – Garden Show Summer Blast

This free event features petting zoo, pony rides, fire engine displays, Living Grist Mill Character Actors, Food Trucks (Waffle Luv – the Taco Man, Pork BBQ, Snowie, Mama Africa, Sherry’s Sweets), car show, Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Department, BLM Hotshots,  Vendors, and Master Gardener Store, where you can get some great gardening gear, as well as Tour Books for the following day’s events! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Our Harvest Days/Farmers Market begins this year on July 9, 2016 and will run every Saturday through October from 9 am – 1 pm or until vendors run out of produce. Farmers and other vendors are welcome to participate, and there is no fee to be a vendor at this event. So, if you are looking for fresh produce, stop by and see what the selection is that week, depending on what is being harvested at that time. For best selection, come early.

Pioneer Fun at the Mill

July 21, 2016 – 11 am – 2 pm

A day for children to come an learn what pioneer children did for fun. This free event is geared toward children 3-12 years old. Children accompanied by an adult can make crafts, play games, and do other activities that help them learn about days gone by. We also provide hot dogs and drinks for this everyone attending this event, one per person.

Pumpkin Walk

October 21-22, 2016 – 10 am – 8 pm each day

This year our theme is going to be Pumpkins of Discovery. Groups can sign up to make a pumpkin display, showcasing the theme for this year. Visitors then get to walk through the site and view the different displays. We also have food and other vendors participating, so you can stop by and get lunch or dinner and maybe a gift or two. There are free crafts and activities for children 12 and under to participate in. You can wear your costume and come practice your trick or treating to our vendor booths also. Christmas Lighting at the Mill

November 28, 2016 – 6-8 pm

Free event to see the lights come on for the Christmas season. There will be entertainment and free hot cocoa and a treat, while supplies last.
